GEODIS Poland ended the 2018 financial year with turnover at a record high and profitability doubled on the previous year. Our Polish subsidiary is growing steadily and reaping the rewards of its efforts once again.

Affiliated in 2015 with Road Transport’s Central and Eastern Europe cluster for its transport, logistics and freight activities, GEODIS’s subsidiary in Poland has been named one of the country’s top three logistics operators for the third year running.

This prize has been awarded each year for the past fifteen years to shine a spotlight on logistics players who make a significant contribution to growth in the sector and to improving supply chain management in Poland. The ranking is based on a satisfaction survey performed by an independent consultancy among the customers of the logistics specialists and hauliers operating on the Polish market.

In the space of a year, GEODIS Poland’s overall profitability has doubled in value and even tripled in the case of transport activities (70% of turnover). In this field the operator placed the focus on building and retaining business with key accounts and on consolidating its offering of multimodal and out-of-gauge services. It has also stepped up its presence in the sea and air transport sectors (25% of its activity), and occupies a strategic position on the China-Europe railway corridor.

On the road to new challenges

“This reward confirms the pertinence of our strategy, which makes people – customers, partners, colleagues – our top priority. This year they have all had a chance to express their satisfaction regarding our quality of service and the management system put in place to deliver it. I am extremely grateful to all the teams, without whom we wouldn’t have achieved these outstanding results”, says a delighted Bogdan Młynarczyk, director of the subsidiary.

Over the next five years GEODIS Poland intends to double its turnover while keeping up its high service quality and pursuing the HR policy that is maintaining exceptionally high levels of loyalty in all staff categories. This ambitious challenge ties in with the targets set by the GEODIS Group, which approves whole-heartedly!
