Quality

The audit commended Road Transport's successful implementation of the latest ISO 9001 advances, and the company's “umbrella” certification was renewed for three years.

Bordeaux, Aulnat, Oissel, Florange, Sens, Toulouse, as well as the IT services at the Head Office in Méry: AFNOR representatives visited a wide range of Road Transport facilities during the second half of June for the ISO 9001 renewal audit. The result: the company's “umbrella” certification was renewed for three years. “This covers our entire network in France, the Netherlands, Italy and Germany,” says QHSE Director, Coralie Guglielmetti – “our activities in Spain, Portugal and Eastern Europe are covered by local certifications.” This renewal cements the company's commitment to the continuous improvement approach of successive versions of the ISO 9001 standard.

Our process approach is on the right track

The auditors especially commended Road Transport's successful implementation of the process approach, which was reinforced in the 2015 version of the ISO 9001 standard. “This requirement has led us to undertake specific works to formalise the processes involved in our business,” the QHSE Direct says: “beyond the requirements of the standard, it is above all a powerful lever to further progress the industrialisation of our services and the standardisation of our exchanges with customers, especially key accounts.” Also worthy of mention on the Quality front: the Florange site has renewed its OHSAS 18001 certification (Health and Safety at Work), while the Martigues site (Chemicals) successfully passed its SQAS assessment, obtaining scores of 78% (transport activities) and 79% (tank washing), a clear improvement over the previous result.
