Road Transport's multimodal chemicals site in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier has been assessed under the new SQAS system. The score it obtained, 82%, is well above the European average for chemical haulage companies.

The chemicals & gas division of our multimodal activity based at our site in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier (SE France), at the leading edge of Road Transport's expertise, has recently undergone an SQAS assessment. The assessment was performed by Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council, with a view to assessing the site's maturity and performance from the quality, safety, security and environment points of view.

The Road Transport site was rewarded with an excellent score of 82%, which is significantly higher than the European average in the sector (72%). "This score is all the more remarkable since the SQAS system was upgraded in 2019, and some of its requirements are now tougher than in the previous version", says a delighted Élodie Vanhaesebroucke, QHSE manager.

Among other things, the SQAS assessment commended the Road Transport teams' high standards in fields such as human resources management and operational file management, as well as their rigorous handling of the company's fleet of chassis and containers. All the major shippers in the chemicals sector look for high SQAS scores as a guarantee of performance and reliability, so this excellent outcome confirms that Road Transport is committed to maintaining QHSE standards in keeping with the level of service quality expected by its customers.
