OEA Certification

The Road Transport site of Villeneuve-la-Garenne (France), which specialises in international flows, has recently renewed its AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) certification with the customs administration.

An audit took place before this summer: the French Customs representatives visited the entire Road Transport site at Villeneuve-la-Garenne (92), checked the compliance of the site's documented and physical processes regarding international shipments, and held discussions with the teams – in particular the customs declaration department. The results were very positive: “The auditors praised the professionalism and expertise of our staff,” says Océane Gressier, QHSE Manager at the site. “As a result, our 'customs simplification' and 'safety-security' AEO certifications were renewed for three years.”

At the heart of business

Authorised Economic Operator (AEO): valid in the EU as well as third countries that have signed a customs agreement, this certification identifies the company as a trusted operator, and ensures it receives facilitated processing at border crossings. A crucial door opener for Villeneuve-la-Garenne which carries out its activity at 90% of on international flows, of which 20-30% of trucks leave under a customs arrangement towards Russia or the Balkan countries in particular. “Customs competence is more than just a service with us,” says Isabelle Brossard, site Director: “it is expertise at the heart of our business, and offers real added value to our customers.”
